My professional mission statement as a public health practitioner is:

· To collaborate with diverse communities to address public health issues that are significant to them;

· To reduce stigma and judgment of people and communities in order to achieve overall improved health outcomes; and

· To allow my ethics to guide my heart and hands in greater service and advocacy for community empowerment and social justice

MPH Portfolio Introduction

Take a journey through my electronic portfolio. This e-folio as been created to share with others my work and experiences as a student in the Masters of Public Health Program a part of the Department of Health Education at San Francisco State University (SFSU).

During the last three years at SFSU, I have had the opportunity to team up with diverse communities in order to strive for the greater common goal of equality and social justice through improving health outcomes, ultimately decreasing health disparities. The blood, sweat, and tears combined with my academic background, personal and professional experiences have prepared me well for the future as a Public Health professional.
